Integrity Receives 2014 SECAF Award of Excellence

FIRM RECOGNIZED FOR EXCELLENCE WITHIN COMMUNITY, THE GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING INDUSTRY, AND TOWARDS EMPLOYEES.

McLean, VA— May 6, 2014—Integrity Management Consulting, Inc., (Integrity) announces it is the recipient of the Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF) Award of Excellence. Presented at a May 1 gala attended by 500 SECAF members, the award highlights an organization that represents excellence within its community, the government contracting industry, and towards employees.

Integrity was among 30 finalists in six categories and one of five for the Award of Excellence.  According to SECAF, the awards “honor small and emerging government contractors and the players in the ecosystem that rely on small business.”

Mary Beth Romani, Chief Strategy Officer, accepted the honor on behalf of Integrity. “The Award of Excellence is particularly meaningful because it aligns perfectly with our company approach,” said Romani.  “We created the Integrity Impact Triangle to depict our three passions: our customers, our people and the community.  Guided by this defining symbol, our team members are empowered to work on initiatives that support these three commitments.”

Integrity has been a frequent contributor to federal sector thought leadership through industry presentations and articles, as well as the Integrity Matters acquisition and program management blog.  Federal media noted Integrity’s “people-first” response to the 2013 government shutdown, which kept all employees on payroll despite almost half being unable to work.  In the community, Integrity is a long-time supporter of small non-profits such as Homestretch, which help homeless families rebuild their lives.  It also has an employee-led Community Impact Group, a Kids Impact program for children of staff, and a unique 5x$500 program, which awards $500 to employee-chosen nonprofits when an employee enlists four others to volunteer.

Romani encouraged other small businesses to be intentional about making a wider impact.  “It’s a pretty easy formula.  Name your passions and have someone on the executive team who is dedicated to leading programs and ensuring the company gives back in a meaningful way that aligns with those passions.”
