PARTNERSHIP PROVIDES SUPPORT TO 250 SOUTH SUDAN REFUGEE STUDENTS
Tysons, VA – March 12, 2019 – Integrity Management Consulting, Inc. (Integrity) announced today a new partnership in its Community Impact Program. Integrity is partnering with Pagirinya Primary School in the Pagirinya Refugee Camp in the Adjumani District of northern Uganda. The school, which is one of hundreds of projects worldwide led by World Help (www.worldhelp.net), educates 250 students in first through sixth grade who have fled their homeland of South Sudan due to the ongoing war there. This partnership is Integrity’s first international partnership. Integrity also partners with a local Title I school, Braddock Elementary School, located in Annandale, Virginia.
“The partnership emphasizes our ongoing commitment to provide resources to the hard-working students that attend Pagirinya Primary School,” stated Integrity Chief Executive Officer, Christopher Romani, “Our family was very impacted by our time at the school and when we returned, we shared the story of these students with our team. We were so encouraged when the team immediately began an initiative to support these students.”
The first project launched by the Community Impact Group was a backpack and school supply drive that provided all 250 students with these basic educational necessities. Additionally, Integrity is giving financial support to provide much-needed sports equipment for the school. In the refugee camps of northern Uganda where children are typically away from their home country for more than 10 years, there is a great need to provide hope to these refugees who see education as a critical opportunity to change the trajectory of their life.
Mary Beth Romani, Integrity Chief Strategy Officer, added, “We are blessed to be able to make an impact in the lives of these vulnerable children whose lives have been turned upside down by war. Our family plans to visit the school when we return to Uganda this year. We are eager to be with these beautiful children again and look forward to playing soccer and other games with them!”
