Tysons, VA – June 30, 2020 – The Community Impact Group (CIG) at Integrity Management Consulting, Inc. (Integrity) has developed a three-pronged response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This included an immediate response to get much-needed help to the most vulnerable communities as well as a company-wide fundraising effort for a local hospital and a local school partner with a corporate match for all funds raised.
In March, Integrity moved quickly to fund five handwashing stations in third world countries through Child Fund. Integrity owners, Chief Executive Officer, Christopher Romani, and Chief Strategy Officer, Mary Beth Romani, have travelled to Uganda with their family and have seen first-hand how woefully unprepared these countries are when faced with this type of pandemic. “Given the lack of access to clean water and necessities like soap, we knew these communities were incredibly vulnerable, and we wanted to help,” said Mary Beth Romani.
Through a matching fundraising drive, Integrity was also able to provide meals for hundreds of families at its local Title I school partner, Braddock Elementary School in Annandale, Virginia. Christopher Romani explained, “these families were hit hard by the economic downturn during the pandemic, and there was a great need for corporate partners to step in to ensure these families had food to get them through these difficult times. I was pleased by our team’s generosity to support these families.”
Recognizing the need to support our local hospitals and front-line workers during the pandemic, funds were also raised for Children’s National Hospital in D.C. Donations to its COVID-19 Emergency Action Fund were made by employees and matched by Integrity. This fund enables the hospital to protect children, deliver care, and support providers during this health crisis.
Christopher Romani went on to say, “We are going through unprecedented times not only as a country but as a global community. We are very blessed that our company has been able to provide continuous service to our customers during these challenging times. It only is fitting that we bless others.”
